In this performance, humans and dogs gather in a forest at dusk to celebrate the canine spirit through an intimate ritual. The work commemorates the arrival of the dogs of K9o/us on Earth – in a future where humanity has ceased to exist. At its core is a composition of chants performed collectively as a poetic homage to canine ethos. These chants honor values such as non- dominance, patience, and generosity – qualities intrinsic to dogs. The ritual invites the participants into a transformative experience, fostering empathy, patience, and a deeper sense of interconnectedness beyond the human.
